Climate Changing
There are many problems facing the environment and one of those problems is called global warming or climate change. In the following, I will discuss the causes of the climate changing, the consequences of the changing in the climate and the solutions for this issue.
Let us first turn our attention to the causes of this issue. For starters, one very important cause to take note of is the greenhouse gases. To illustrate, those gases are continuously increasing day by day. As a result of increased concentration of these gases more and more heat is reflected back to the earth, thus increasing its temperature. There are both natural and human made causes of climate change. Let us describe some of the natural causes. For instance, the volcanic eruptions are one of many. Another natural cause is the glaciers. To clarify, the permafrost and glaciers in the southern and the north poles are melting because of the increasing in the temperature of the world. According to the report of the Panel on Climate Change the temperature of earth increased about .75 °C during the 20th century and is further expected to rise by 1.1 to 6.4 °C by the end of the 21st century (Global climate model). Additional causes are manmade. For example, the carbon dioxide is one of the manmade causes which comes from the automobiles and power plants.
Let us turn to the consequences of climate change. For starters, there are many results and effects which happened like a rise in water levels. For example, the level of water in seas and oceans is continuously increasing due to the melting of ice caps. And that is also one of the effects that happen by the climate changing. To clarify, the ice caps melt when the temperature increases and that increase will be canceled by the greenhouse gases. Let us move to another consequence which is oxygen depletion. The level of oxygen in the atmosphere and water is continuously decreasing due to an increase in the concentration of other gases . Although factors other than climate may have intensified the severity of some of the events on the map, scientists predict such problems will increase if emissions of heat-trapping gases are not brought under control (Global Warming ,ClimateHotMap) .
As we know for sure, every problem should have its solution except getting old. We can be cured only when collective steps will be taken by the people all over the world. For starters, the most important factor for dealing with global warming is to create the awareness among the people. For example, many of the factory owners don’t know about this huge problem and some of them don’t care. The website says that the factory owner only thinks about the income of his factory and he doesn’t look at the greenhouse gases that are produced from his factory which may make people suffer in the future (Global Warming , Thinkquest ). Another solution that we can take into consideration is planting trees. That’s because the trees could use the carbon dioxide to provide their food and by that operation the tree produces the oxygen.
All in all, we have considered the reasons that led to this problem, the effects on the environment that are caused by the climate changing and finally we mentioned some solutions that may help in solving our issue. I think that if we don’t look at this problem, try to think about it and do something to stop it, we will be in a really worrying situation.
